Added some fall pictures today.  Two are of the leaves turning on beautiful Belvedere Boulevard in Midtown, and one of cotton fields in bloom just west of Memphis.

Also put up a couple of music-themed pics.  One is the statue of a young Elvis on Elvis Presley Plaza on Beale, and the other is of Sun Studio where he was first recorded.

Just put a few more pics online - two shots of the University of Memphis, a skyline view taken from Mud Island, and a shot of the Pink Palace.  I also re-did the I-40 bridge shot from Mud Island - much better than the old one.

Of the area's major colleges and universities, I don't have any shots of CBU or LeMoyne-Owen yet.  I haven't spent much time on either campus - if you're a student or alum, please e-mail me and tell me what wallpaper images you would like to see of your school.

Added some more shots, including shots of Rhodes College, the Brooks Museum, the Cooper-Young railroad bridge, Memphis College of Art, and the Overton Park Shell.  I also re-shot the AutoZone Park image from the Peabody rooftop.

Welcome to the new Memphis wallpaper site.  This is an idea that came to me over the Memorial Day weekend - I was looking around the web for Memphis desktop images, and when I couldn't find any, I decided to do something about it.  Here are 12 images to get you started, with more to come soon (probably after June 7 - I will be extremely busy until then).  Images I plan on adding soon:

  • Shots of the Peabody lobby and ducks.  I snapped some a couple of days ago but messed up the exposure and need to re-shoot these.

  • After all the Memphis in May stuff clears out, I'll go down to Tom Lee Park and do some river shots.

  • Shots of the Memphis skyline taken from across the river.  The river is currently flooding into eastern Arkansas and I have to wait for it to go down.

If there's something else you want to see, let me know.  I admittedly have a bias toward downtown because that's where I live.  But I would definitely like to hear suggestions for shots in Midtown, East Memphis or elsewhere.
